At WCC, we believe that the Bible is the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice, including marriage, gender, and sexuality. As followers of Christ, we are called to reflect His love and truth. We believe that every person who enters the Church is created in the image of God and should be treated with compassion, respect, and dignity, regardless of their background or experiences (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31).

We affirm that God created humanity in His image, male and female, each reflecting His divine design and purpose (Genesis 1:27). While we acknowledge the reality of sin and brokenness in our world, we hold to the belief that God’s original design for human sexuality is for it to be expressed within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Any departure from this design falls short of God’s best for us (Matthew 15:18-20; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 15-18).

Sexual immorality—defined as any sexual behavior outside the marriage covenant—grieves God because it distorts His good intentions for love, intimacy, and family. This includes behaviors such as adultery, fornication, and other forms of sexual expression outside the marriage bond between one man and one woman. (Romans 1:24-27; 1 Timothy 1:8-11).

However, we recognize that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). In Christ, there is forgiveness, healing, and hope for all who seek Him. No one is beyond the reach of God’s grace. We believe that Jesus came to restore us, offering new life and redemption to everyone who turns to Him, no matter their past (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

Our goal is to walk alongside one another in love, encouraging each person to experience the fullness of life that comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ. We are committed to being a community of grace, truth, and transformation, where all can encounter the hope and freedom that God offers through the Gospel.
