Children’s Ministry [birth-5th grade]

We believe parents play the primary role in developing a child’s faith and it is our desire to partner WITH you. We want to inspire, equip, and support you with resources that help connect what happens at home with what is happening at church. The heart of wentzvilleKidz is to provide a dynamic environment where children can encounter God — launching them into an authentic relationship with Jesus that stirs their hearts to make Him known to others! Wednesdays | 6:30 – 8:00pm

If your kid is 3rd-5th grade and looking to make some more friends and grow together in God’s word, then join us on Wednesday nights for our Pre-teen Small Groups! In these gender-specific groups, kids will dig further into the stories and lessons we are teaching on Sunday and figure out how to apply those lessons to everyday life.
Child Dedication

Congratulations on the birth of your baby or adoption this past year!  On Sunday, January 30, 2022, we would love for you to participate in our Family Dedication here at Wentzville Christian Church, honoring those babies born or children adopted in 2021 or those families with babies born or children adopted in the last part of 2020 who are now worshipping with us.

Family Dedication is a special event set aside to celebrate our newest babies, adopted children and their families to be welcomed by our church family.  It is a time when you as parents will be asked to acknowledge your child is a gift from God and dedicate yourselves to raising him/her in a godly home.
Please mark this special day on your calendar and invite your honored guests!  A highlight of the morning’s 9:45 AM worship service will be a time of dedication and prayer of blessing over families.
Before the 9:45 service on Sunday morning, you are invited to a special Family Dedication Breakfast at 9:00 AM. WentzvilleKidz classes are offered at that time, so you may check in any older children. Then come upstairs to room 209 where our WentzvilleKidz team will greet you. During the breakfast and before the service, we’ll have a photo booth where you take a special family photo. This is a relaxed time with food, photos, and parenting encouragement!
Join Us In Celebration:
As a way for all of us to celebrate Family/Child Dedication, we will be collecting baby care items to donate to Sparrow’s Nest. Please join us in this celebration and bring a baby item by January 30. They will be collected in the crib by our Children’s Check-In Station.
The items requests are: baby wipes, baby shampoo or body wash, diaper rash cream, baby lotion, large size bibs. Please feel free to bring in other items not listed as well. Thank you!!!

February 11-12

Drop-Off is Friday, Feb 11 at 5pm

Pick-Up is Saturday, Feb 12 at 4pm

“But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the Dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved.)
Ephesians 2:4-5
For this year’s SuperStart!, we will spend the whole weekend focusing on the gospel. Preteens will learn that in life, we have the problem of sin which locks us away and separates us from God, which the Bible calls death. The only solution, the only key able to ‘unlock the way back to God and life is Jesus. The prize offered to all of us is salvation and the amazing part about this incredible Good News is that it is completely Free!
Your preteens won’t want to miss this year’s SuperStart! where we’ll be using the excitement and exhilaration of a competitive escape room to teach them the incredible truth of the gospel.
We will meet at church at 5pm on Friday, February 11 and travel to SuperStart! at Harvester Christian Church. At the end of the evening, we’ll return to WCC and sleep at the church so your preteen will need clothing, bedding, and toiletries (no shower on site though). On Saturday, we’ll head back out to Harvester for the rest of SuperStart! as well as some fun group activities.  Your registration includes an evening snack, breakfast, and lunch. We will have an optional meal for $3 on Friday when you arrive – make sure to mark if you want that when you register.

BEGINNER BIBLE BOWL: 3rd-5th grade

Wednesdays | 5:30 – 6:30pm

Beginner Bible Bowl meets on Wednesdays at 5:30pm for 3rd-5th graders. This is a competition based Bible quiz game where students study a specific portion of Scripture and then compete against other teams in a quick recall setting. This program is great way to get kids into the Bible, have fun while learning it, and grow in their faith through study and competition. Kids can join the weekly practices any time. Contact Randy Diebel for more information.
There is Teen Bible Bowl for 6th-12th grade students.

Virtual Elementary Lessons

Our NextGen Elementary team is diligently working to bring the normal Sunday morning experience online so those who can’t join us in-person can enjoy doing lessons while at home. Weekly lessons and announcements are emailed to parents and are also available below. If you are not receiving the emails, please contact Connor Davidson, Elementary Minister, at Watch the video lesson – Discuss the questions – Practice the Bible Memory Verse

Imagine having your senses bombarded through large spaces and large crowds; strangers entering into your personal space demanding eye contact and interaction; bright lighting/loud sounds/and tons of things providing stimulation that overload your system. We have some VIP friends that struggle with this weekly and they need extra help.
WentzvilleKidz offers a VIP program for children who need extra help being in a classroom situation on Sunday mornings. We have awesome volunteers who can be a 1-on-1 with you child if that is something your family would need. We try to schedule the same VIP for each child, so arrangements will need to be made beforehand. Contact Connor Davidson, Elementary Minister, for more information.
WentzvilleKidz also offers a sensory room if your child is in need of a little down time. The sensory room is available for a 1-on-1 to take a child to each morning, or it can be staffed upon request if a child needs to spend the entire morning in there.
