WCC IS FULLY OPEN!

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Dear WCC family,
It has come to our attention that a child of one of our children’s ministry workers has tested positive for Covid. While this child has not been at WCC recently, the parent did serve this past Sunday and is in the process of getting tested. Since we do not have the results of this individual’s test at this time, we are going to postpone on-campus programming for birth through 5th grade for both this Sunday, July 19th, and next Sunday, July 26th, along with Jesus and Me on Wednesday, July 22nd. We will also be sanitizing classrooms and making every effort to make sure the whole children’s area is thoroughly cleaned. We will contact the families of any children who we know were in direct contact with this individual in the classroom as well. Adult and teen services will continue as usual with no reservations required.
We want to clarify again that this child was not on our campus and we still have not had a confirmed positive case on campus throughout this whole time. This child started showing symptoms this past Tuesday and received the confirmed positive on Friday. Also, the worker was wearing a mask the entire time while serving. However, we do want to proceed with caution until we have more information with this current situation.
Thank you for your understanding and we ask for your prayers both for this family as they deal with this Covid case and our church leadership as we try to make the best decisions to keep our church family safe and connected. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our leadership at info@wentzvillecc.org.

Wentzville Christian Church COVID-19 Update
April 2, 2020
Happy Thursday everyone! I would have given this update yesterday, but since it was April Fool’s Day, I thought it might be a better idea for today! I know there are lots of challenges for all of us right now and we continue to pray and want to encourage you to stay strong. Thank you so much for walking with Jesus, being his hands and his feet to others in the midst of the crisis! Thank you for joining us online on Sundays and throughout the week and thank you for continuing to generously give to WCC.
As you know, the federal government and our local school systems are continuing their plans for social distancing and we will do the same. Lots of ideas are thrown our way each week about how to bring people together, but they end up creating some of the same issues that would potentially spread the virus, so we are staying the course with online services and encouraging groups to use a variety of options and online resources to continue to meet. Right now, unless something changes, we will continue this plan until April 27th.
The Elders and our staff want to let you know that if you need prayer or need to talk with someone, we want to be there for you. We are keeping the office open throughout the week with a smaller number of staff each day, but we are available…shoot us an email or text or call us during office hours if you need something.
Easter Sunday, April 12…please invite people to watch our online services as we celebrate the resurrection and share the gospel! Thanks again for having a passion for Jesus, the Bible, the Church and Others…we love you and are praying for you all!
- WEEKEND WORSHIP SERVICES – We will continue to livestream our weekend worship services and share God’s Word on Sundays at 9am and 10:30am. Until further notice, we will be ONLINE ONLY: visit wentzvillecc.org to livestream, give online, and see important updates. Both live services can also be viewed on our Facebook page which allows for comments, questions, and engagement with others.
- ON-CAMPUS – We are suspending all on-campus gatherings on WCC’s campus until April 27. No exceptions. The WCC Office will remain open throughout the week for business, pastoral, and benevolence needs. Our pastors are always available if you need to talk, pray, or address concerns.
- OFF-CAMPUS – Life Groups, 246 Groups, and others will discuss the best way to continue to stay engaged. Some are choosing to continue meeting in person, some are using online tools, and others may choose to suspend gatherings.
- RESOURCES – Our NextGen Team and Discipleship Team will be sharing lessons, devotionals, games, and other activities you and your family can use to grow and connect with God.These will be sent via social media and email.
These decisions will remain in place until April 27, 2020. WCC Leadership will be monitoring our situation and we will keep you updated with further decisions.
Remember our BIG THREE!!
- PRAY! PRAY! PRAY!
- Be the hands and feet of Jesus!
- Engage WCC through our livestream and through online giving! Stay connected!

Wentzville Christian Church COVID-19 Update
March 12, 2020
As we continue to track developments concerning the coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to assure you that the public health and safety concerns are of vital importance to us. We are being very intentional to ensure clean, sanitary, and safe environments for people to meet and worship God. While we realize no public environment is 100% safe, we are taking every precaution and safety measure possible. We have enhanced our already-thorough cleaning procedures and the following recommendations and precautions will be in place to ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone:
- If you or your kids are symptomatic, please stay home and get well.
- If you are in the “high-risk” zone based on age or pre-existing conditions, make the best decision and one that you are comfortable making. We support you in whatever decision you make. See below how to remain engaged while at home.
- Please wash your hands before and after services.
- Please cover your sneeze/cough with a tissue or crook of your arm.
- We will use respectful caution with our personal interactions by avoiding handshakes and hugs. Instead, we encourage an elbow or fist bump, a wave, or the Holy Head-nod.
- Our facility will go through a deep cleaning, including all children’s classrooms, toys, restrooms, and various touch points (doorknobs, handles, water faucets, handrails, etc.)
- Hand sanitizer will be available in convenient locations.
It is important that we continue to meet as a body of believers and it is our desire that you feel safe in doing so. However, we encourage you to make the best decision for you and your family. For those who need to stay home for any reason, we encourage you to stay engaged.
Both the 9am and 10:30am services are available via live stream at wentzvillecc.org/live or on our facebook page and online giving can be done at wentzvillecc.org/give.
A sister church said it this way:
The uncertainty of this outbreak is creating anxiety in our workplaces, schools, and day-to-day activities, yet we remain certain of God’s steadfast presence and careful attention to all that is happening. Please join us in prayer for those who are affected by this illness as well as their caregivers and those who are working around the clock to minimize the impact of this virus.
In Psalm 46, we are reminded that it is God who is our refuge and strength, and our ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, let us not fear, but with confidence use this opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus through our prayers and our care for others.
