What does it mean to Adopt-A-Family?
“Adopting” or sponsoring a child or family is a wonderful way to bless a family that finds themselves in difficult times. Beginning the second Sunday in November, we will have lists of children (anonymous) including their gender, age, and a wish list. To sponsor a child, you simply pick up a tag in the lobby, just outside the office, at WCC and exchange for a wish list for that child, purchase a minimum of 3 gifts (but not to exceed $150 total per child), and bring them unwrapped and labeled by December 5th. Wrapping Party:
Join us for our wrapping party on Wednesday, Dec. 7th from 5:30-8:30pm. Come and go as you need. We will have sandwiches, chips, and cookies available. Come enjoy time with others as we wrap gifts for those in need. If you plan to attend the wrapping party, please sign up HERE so we can plan enough food and space.
How to Request Gifts for your children:
If you are a family that finds yourself in difficult times and could use some help with Christmas gifts this year, you can apply to be a part of our Adopt-A-Family program. Applications must be submitted by November 18th at the latest. Families are restricted to children under the age of 18. Limit your wish list items to $40 max per item. No family can be assisted more than 2 years consecutively.
